My response would be a close rewrite of one of the arguments freeBSD
proponents use against the adoption of Linux: Sun Solaris has one entity
driving the codebase and the releases, and therefore it's much easier to
develop for (no worry about different releases from different vendors
being completely different.

Another good argument for a developer would be the requirement that if
you use any of the free code from Linux in your code you're required to
release the source code to your product.

Fortunately, I'm NOT a developer <smile>.

If you want a better answer, more specific to Sun Solaris, then call
some of your Sun coworkers <smile again>.
