if you don't see "Cobalt Networks" come on the LCD, something bad is
wrong.  First I'd check the ROM.  Open the system and find the ROM socket
(on the bottom mainboard, sorry :).  If it is a socket, make sure it is
tightly closed.  If it is soldered, you're done.

If it is soldered and does not boot, it would suggest that someone tried to
flash the ROM and failed, or erased the ROM.

If you can't get "Cobalt Networks" on the LCD, you can't get as far as
OSRCD.
