I'm not sure if this meets your definition of 3rd party, but Spam Bouncer is
an open source collection of procmail recipes that does a pretty good job of
blocking undesired messages...or routing them to a special box, etc. See
http://www.spambouncer.org/. There are 3rd party fee-based services which
you can have your users' email delivered to in order to have them filtered
if you prefer. I have no experience with these services, but I know people
who have been happy with them (as compared to using no filtering at all) and
they should be easy to find via a search engine.
