I'm just guessing from your IP addresses that you may be getting your IP
addresses from CobaltRacks or its parent company VisualLink (as do I).
If CobaltRacks, they maintain reverse IP control over all IPs they
assign.  However, if you drop their support people an email and tell
them what domain name you wish to have reverse assigned to each IP, they
will do this gladly and usually within a day or two.

The problem is that they (and others like them) divvy their IP pool up
to meet demand; they cannot and do not generally supply class C (or even
fractional class C) allocations, so you cannot define the reverse IP
within your own DNS.  They own the base IP (which, as I recall is
194.194.192.0/20 -- don't quote me on this) and do not delegate it
further, so they, not you, maintain the PTR records.

   Hello-

I've been lurking awhile and well, anyway I am haveing some dns reverse
lookup difficulties. I think it worked initially, then I got some
additional ip addresses (10 total now) and they changed my mask. I
think thats when it quit resolving... anyway here are the details-

Default Gateway 65.194.192.1
IP Address 65.194.192.195
Subnet Mask 255.255.240.0

PTR record 65.194.192.195/20 www.wappoocreek.com

Any help would be appreciated. thanks
