Greetings All,
My company develops applications for the Cobalt platform and we have focused
our efforts through time on the Raq4 and Cube3 appliances. Today, for the
first time, we had a customer with a Raq3i and we walked the customer
through an installation. Everything went good, until we go to the part
where we had to install PERL .cgi scripts on one of the virtual host (IE:
/home/sites/www.mydomain.com/web) and we are not able to get the scripts to
launch. This is the first time that this has happened as we have thousands
of customers that run Raq4r's with no install problems at all.
My question is, are there any major differences in the two platforms? How
about in the glibc libraries like with 7.1 of RedHat?
Our applications also install a precompiled mySQL server and a precompiled
PERL runtime with DBI libraries compiled and installed. Will a mySQL binary
need to be recompiled to run on a Raq3 as apposed to a Raq4? How about PERL
and the DBI?
Has anyone else experienced any issues like this? Thanks in advance for the
assistance. Have a greatful day };O)
Wes...
