RE: [cobalt-developers] SSL certificates for multiple domains

I said reputation as opposed to all others. As some one said earlier Thawte
is part of Verisign and every one runs away from Verisign 'cause of the
height pricing including me, then we started using Equifax since the
reseller rate was superior but now since they have just communicated that
all URL's to reseller accounts will be discontinued and that we have to buy
from the main site like every one else at a rate of $99 then this need more
thinking. Why would I pay Equifax 99 while Thawte is $100 - It doesn't make
sense and Thwate seal is almost recognized by many people as a security
mark, but when you put that "Secure Site" symbol by Equifax, then not too
many people out there will recognize that seal -- So this is what I meant by
famous/well-known -- I used like Equifax, and their support used to be very
responsive but after my last request which was about a month ago, I never
heard back from them although I had a call from one of their V.P. and then
he also looked at our account and mentioned that we didn't fax the Article
so we did that minute but then nothing!!!! A couple of days after this
incident, I rec. an email alleging that all URLs to those partners program
will be disabled and any purchases need to be gone through the Equifax
regular store!

Regarding the Equifax 128 bit Vs. the Thawte certificate, I wouldn't even go
looking for such a subject and would just close my eyes and buy it and I'll
be positive that Thawte supports a 128 bit encryption :) or else they will
be out of business

If you're own reputation is enough for you, you can get your own free certs
from WildId http://www.wildid.com

Thawte.com are part of the Verisign group and their certs are cheaper from
$125 they work fine on RaQs and they do now offer wildcard domain certs (a
little more expensive)

hope that helps

Does anyone know of places to get a certificate at a more competitive price
than verisign etc? I am using a RAQ3

---

Hopefully this would support *.domain.com which would allow me to use a
different subdomain for each client using SSL. I Have seen this in practise
and would like to know if anyone has used this?

thanks gareth
