Well, one option is to create your own .pkg files, which I believe are just
gzipped tarballs of RPMs and a few control files. There's an article about
this in the KB.
The most up-to-date information about creating package files is
available through the Sun Cobalt Developer Network. We have Tech
Notes describing the differences between package file format for the
Qube 3, the RaQ 3 &4, and the RaQ XTR.
