Re: [cobalt-developers] Qube 3: problem running jdk 1.3.1

Hi:

Well, I ran the glibc rpm's in the package and then ran the jdk 1.3.1 rpm. Then I tried another 'javac helloworld.java', and it hung again, same type of behaviour. Is there anything else that needs to be installed prior to the glibc's? Am I overlooking anything?

cheers,
Dan

The .pkg file is actually a tar.gz file with just a different extension. Untar that file and you'll see a RPMS directory. Install the glibc rpms in that directory.

And yes, if you did fix glibc, the Sun JDK rpm will work without problems.
