I asked this same question a week ago and still waiting for a solid
response. With 25 sites on the raq the jdk will install a virtual
machine for each site. Therefore leaving you with little to no memory.
An upgrade version should allow you to turn servlets on and off like
php/cgi/frontpage.
We have noted this as a feature request for possible inclusion in a future
implementation of the Java on the platform. We don't have any plans we can
share at this time about when or if we might change or update the Java
platform.
Best Regards,
/Gordon
But other then that I have heard nothing. I am hoping
someone will respond to this. I am not installing it on my system until
an upgrade.

Subject: [cobalt-developers] New Sun/Cobalt JDK JSP .pkg for RaQs -- Is
it safe?
Our Raq 3 and/or 4 has been modified very little from telnet. Is it
safe?
We have about 25 sites on a RaQ4
