Re: [cobalt-developers] kernel module add and remove

Hi,

Actually I resolved my problem by upgrading the kernel. Meanwhile I called the tech cupport of cobalt just asking why they dont support nfs in 2.2.14C10 kernel. The guy said " We are not supposed to support the nfs on 2.2.14C10 kernel..!!" I asked why? He repeated. I mean I am kinda floored.

Anyway, I put the 2.2.16 kernel and now it is ok.

But also I am thinking that put a regular 2.4 kernel on raq3 and install lilo on it. Then connect via null-modem cable to monitor it. Does it work or not? Have any of you tried it before?

Murtix.

Hi Taco,

Some correction is in place. The kernel compilation is not the same.
Normal Redhat will compile using make bzImage. Cobalt needs you to compile
the kernel with normal make, and then gzip the vmlinux file.
