RPM is installed on the Cobalts, so you can install them directly from the
command prompt as you would on any box.  PKGs themselves are just bundles of
RPMs or tarballs that the GUI unpacks and installs for you automatically.
If you want to install RPMs, you may want to consider creating your own
PKGs, and then installing them through the GUI - it tends to be an easier
way of tracking what you've got on the server.  Search on the Knowledge base
for "creating PKGs"
