RE: !!!!! [cobalt-developers] etc/named

Well its not too major !
recreate the folder as below (755)
drwxr-xr-x 2 named named 6144 Jun 6 00:37 named
su to root
#cd /etc
#mkdir named
#chown named:named named
#chmod 755 named

in this folder is two main files records that stores all the DNS details for
the GUI interface, a db.cache file (not sure but I guess restarting the
named daemon will recreate this

all the other files in this folder are pri.domainname files that are
actually rewriten by the gui everytime you modify and save some DNS
information, so it will repopulate the folder for you.

The simple solution is dont panic and just reenter the DNS records through
the GUI again and restart the DNS server from the GUI you should be OK

TIP manually backup the /etc/named/records file
