We noticed (and Cobalt has confirmed) that there are
issues with loose connections on some models with hard
drives, which may or may not be related.

Someone also indicated to me (off-list) that there is
a 2.6.17 firmware update that supposedly fixes the
RAID issues.

Yes, although on average (for us anyway) it only seems
to affect about 2 dozen sites at a time. You may need
to run the meta-verify script to rebuild postgres:

/usr/local/sbin/
./meta-verify -sa

This will verify each site and prompt you to repair each.
You'll have to go in and change the quotas for each site
that is fixed, as the script resets it to 500/25.
