I installed MySQL 3.23.37 from source just today on a RaQ2 so I can almost
guarantee that you can install that version from source on a RaQ4.

MySQL 3.23 was still considered beta when the RaQ4 was released, though
MySQL 3.23 had been in development since 1999. If they updated the versions
of the software on the server everytime a new version of a program was
released it would probably be even more of a nightmare for them to support
the systems that are in the market than it already is.
