A lot has been added / improved in PHP4, but very little PHP3 code will not
work in PHP4. PHP4 will break very little PHP3 code. In most cases PHP3
code will run fine with no modifications and in all but the rarest cases,
code will require no more than very minor modifications. Spend a few
minutes reading the change log at
http://www.php.net/manual/en/migration4.php. If you're still cocerned with
possible modification problems, install PHP4, test your scripts and if they
require modification re-install PHP3 and re-evaluate the situation. Unless
you think you can avoid ever migrating to PHP4, it's probably best to do so
as soon as possible.
