Hello list,
i recently bought a RAQ4 and a Qube3 for my company. The RaQ4 will be
our Webserver and the Qube3 is planned to be used as a Lotus Domino
Server.
Although installation of Domino works fine, the server software crashes
every few minutes and I don't know why. The people at IBM say it could
be caused by the changes COBALT has made to the kernel. I should try to
install a certified Linux distribution (Redhat 6 & 7, SuSe Linux 7.1,
Caldera).
So my questions are:
1. Is it possible to install my own OS on a Qube?(I was thinking of
inserting a PCI-Graficscard and a USB-Keyboard, then try to boot a
standard RedHat 7 CD via a connected SCSI-CD-Rom)
2. Can I install a official kernel without losing functionality?
3. Is this problem known to SUN/Cobalt and are you working on it?
Thanks in advance
Jan Wildeboer
