There is no reason that you can not install X clients on the Qube, including
VNC, Gnome and KDE. If you have to compile your X client applications, you'll
need to install X on the Qube. Otherwise, just find a binary RPM
and install it. It doesn't matter which X server you choose (if any) since you
don't have a video card on the machine. You'll need an X server for your
Windows platform. There are several available for the Windows environment.
Personally, I've been been using one call X-Win32 from Starnet Communications
(www.starnet.com) for years. Using basic X client programs is simple, just set
your DISPLAY environment variable to point to your server. To automate the
process from Windows, you'll need to be able to use rsh to initiate contact
with the Qube. XDM would also work, but would probably be a pain to set up
since the Qube doesn't have a video card.
