RE: [cobalt-developers] new hd

oh my speciality :)

on a RaQ2/3 its easy to convert it to raid1 with full disk mirroring and hot
plugable drives.

we're 99% of the way to completing the Linux drivers for rebuild on the fly
too!

Version 1 of our RAIDRack© read like below - but V2 will not require the
server to be offlined in the event of a HDD failure - release time 2QTR'01
(contact mailto:sales@xxxxxxxxxxx)

Getme's RAIDRack© provides affordable reliability for any RaQ2 or RaQ3.
Upgrade your existing equipment to provide the 100% data redundancy,
normally only available in more expensive Cobalt StaQware, top RaQ4s and RAQ
XTR systems.

Ideal for ISPs offering 24x7x365 hosting, gives peace of mind to companies
co-hosting their servers, add data protection for mission critical ecommerce
servers. If a drive fails RAIDRack© instantly switches to the reserve drive
so there is zero downtime and no lost data. On HDD failure an audible buzzer
sounds, warning the local sysadmin that a drive is down and there is even an
LED on the rear of the RAIDRaQ© to indicate the HDDs status to make it
easier to identify a faulty system in large rack cabinets**. A Remote
Monitor package* is available as an optional extra for users who remote host
their systems and need to check the drives status.

RAIDRack© provides high-performance hard drives with maximum uptime from our
"Hot-Pluggable" design for live-swap convenience in mission critical
servers. The RAIDRack© is operating system independent, so it is unaffected
by adding additional patches or software. The RAIDRaQ© is total self
maintained so it causes no system overhead or processor usage.

RAIDRack© System Features:

Fits any RaQ2 or RaQ3
Gives 100% Data Redundancy
Instant Failover Redundancy
Full RAID1 Disk Mirroring
Hot Plugable HDD for maximum uptime
Audible HDD Failure Alarm
Remote Monitoring Capable*
Prices includes installation, delivery and VAT!

Cobalt Operating System Independent
Unaffected by patches upgrades
Upgrade performance without replacing hardware
LED Drive Operation/Fail Indicators on the rear**
WIN32 app for rebuilding data
Zero Demand for System Resources
No Drivers Required
Total Peace of mind
