RE: [cobalt-developers] Newsletter Using Mailing List

The current setting of the Mailing List allow people to send/reply to any
message that is posted to the list name, however what if I want to use the
list as a newsletter where I send only! Is there a way to reject users post
to the list except from a certain point?

Subject: [cobalt-developers] MajorDomo Setup

I am reposting this query in the hopes that someone can be of assistance

Can I simply make a change in
aliases.majordomo
to show the email address of the site owner
rather than admin ala

owner-testme_site2: admin
to
owner-testme_site2: dodah@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

then
# >>>>>>>>>> The program "newaliases" must be run after
# >> NOTE >> this file is updated for any changes to
# >>>>>>>>>> show through to sendmail.

Purpose is to allow dodah to receive admin trivia messages, etc.

If that will work, does the Cobalt GUI overwrite the file with every
addition of a site and/or mailing list?

If it does, can an include file be used to preserve the vaules I've
entered?

The purpose of the modification is to allow the list-owner, not the server
administrator to receive the administrative messages, thus making the
Cobalt implimentation of Majordomo a tad bit closer to the "non-appliance"
world.
