is there a statically linked shell (sash, etc.) on the raq2?
if not can i get one via rpm? (see rpm works because it's statically linked)
i've lost access to cp, mv, etc, due to some stupidity on my part (i moved
/lib, and used ldconfig to specify the new location, but no luck :( ... i get
messages like
sh: /bin/ls: No such file or directory
my post to questionexchange is below:
thanks.
Paul
my / partition was full so i wanted to move /lib to /home/lib and symlink it.
so i copied /lib to /home/lib, and removed /lib.
i wenr to replace it with a symlink.
but now nothing that is dynamically linked in /bin works, including cp, ln,
mv, ... so i can't do anything.
i have tried updating the library path with
[root /root]# /sbin/ldconfig -n /home/lib/ /usr/lib -v
and
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/home/lib"
but no luck...i get this:
[root /root]# /bin/ls
sh: /bin/ls: No such file or directory
do you know any way of fixing this (without shutting down and moving the
drive
to another box)?
