Hi Guys,
Although Cobalt say to use a cross-over cable or an isolated LAN when doing
an OS Restore I tried it over a live LAN. The RaQ3 was connected to the
100Mb backbone, the PC to a 10Mbps switched port ... OS Restore happened
without a hitch.
There was however an interesting side effect ...
Any Win9x PC booted while the OS Restore workstation was running failed to
authenticate (i.e. network logon). The problem was resolved when I shutdown
the OS Restore PC.
The solution of course is do as recommended, but I'd be interested to know
why this happened.
Cheers, Malcolm
