[cobalt-developers] 256 MB of RaQ memory available
- Subject: [cobalt-developers] 256 MB of RaQ memory available
- From: "Eaglewerks" <eaglewerks@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
- Date: Wed Nov 15 20:07:01 2000
- List-id: Mailing list for developers on Cobalt Networks products <cobalt-developers.list.cobalt.com>
I know that this may not be appropriate, as I never sell any thing on a list
such as this, but as the memory used in the original RaQ is scarce, I am
making the following memory available to one of my fellow RaQ users. I
will entertain any and all offers for this memory.
You may send any interest to me directly at:

Thanks!

----------------What I have Available --------------------
256MB (2 x 128Mb 32X32 60Ns Edo Tin Non Parity Simms)
Retail Price: over $415.00 per stick
Lowest Discount price found: $373.52 per stick
(Total retail Value is: $830.00 for two sticks)
This is 5v memory. It is less than 1" high (from top of socket) when
installed, it is overall only 9/8ths in height!
This memory is also applicable for use in the Cobalt Raq, and many other
systems.
Here is some info from the COBALT Knowldege Base:
Question:
How much memory can I put in the RaQ?
Response:
The RaQ can access up to 256 MB of memory. The memory type is the same as
the Cobalt Qube: 5V, 60ns, 72-pin EDO non parity SIMMs. Be aware that there
is a memory module 1.15" height limit inside the case, so check with your
memory vendor, and be sure to specify low profile memory when you order. We
recommend purchasing RAM from the following company:
InterWorks Products

This memory is new, never installed. The memory chips are made by NEC.
Check out the manufacturers/supplier's web site:

Again, this memory is new, I paid over $500 per stick (prices have dropped)
and then never used it.
