[cobalt-developers] Delegate Subdomain?

I know how to do this of course via the form.
But here is what I need to happen...

example:

brainbyte.com is my domain
I want people to be able to go to placebo.brainbyte.com and that takes them 
to other files on the server.

So in DNS I delegate subdomain as placebo.brainbyte.com and host server is 
brainbyte.com for DNS

Then I create a virtual site called placebo.brainbyte.com on the 
brainbyte.com machine.

Is this all I need to do?

If so, I assume it requires DNS replication to the rest of the world which 
will happen in due course?
