If i use tar (independently from the backup CGI) and specify my path as "/"
will my output file be a complete backup of my entire hard drive? If I
needed to restore from scratch, could I use the restore CD then uncompress
my tar to get back all of my customizations (like MySQL installations, perl
modules, etc. etc.) ?
