That's an opinion, right, Will? <smile>
We find that few hosting companies do the rewrite; most, if you type in
"domain.com" just leave it in the browser as "domain.com", not adding
the "www.".
That's what we do, as well.
One disadvantage, of course, is that if the html is poorly written,
people who leave off the www when they type will possibly have
navigation problems. But that's a separate issue.

Can you break down the rules for us one by one, so we know which we can
safely comment out to disable specific "feature"?
