telnet into your machine - su to root, if necessary - and type:

crontab -e

by default, this will open your crontab for editing in vi - if you want to 
edit it in pico (a lot easier ;-), set your editor first by typing:

export VISUAL=pico

when finished, save changes and exit - if you've edited it correctly, it 
will say "crontab update (or something like that).
