I never pay close to full price for my APC SmartUPS units. I buy
rebuilt ones <smile> from a factory-authorized rebuilder.

You don't know what pain-in-the-ass is until you've waited for a BBS to
refresh. I've never seen a web-based BBS on which I could follow
hundreds of messages in hundreds of threads, per hour. Just not
possible. I'd almost agree to newsgroups (I've previously written about
pros and cons, as have others), but much prefer email lists; when email
is downloaded in the background to my desktop machine mail-lists are the
fastest to read. I agree threading is a problem; I use a threading MUA
to read list mail, and wish everyone else would, too.

But anything web-based? Too slow. I'll take a pass.
