Re: [cobalt-developers] Replacing sendmail

Postfix will not be an easy migration on a Raq. Postfix does not use the
virtusetable.
It uses a table with a different format (/etc/postfix/virtual). It may
also add some new twists to
disk space quota stuff since it uses its own spooling dirs and mechanisims.

For what your time is worth, you might want to consider setting up a
vanilla Linux Box just for email and forego
the pain and suffering.

I solved the issues my self by moving all mail off the RAQ's and on to a
dedicated mail server.
I can hand build all the software, customize and script the automated user
admin, add email addresses
without adding websites, etc, and not worry about breaking the GUI.

And since it has 18 internal bit hot plug disk bays with 64 bit hardware
raid
and slots for 4 gig of RAM, and 4 way CPU's I doubt I will be outgrowing it
any time soon.

The raqs are dedicated to serving up web pages now. No more email problems
here.
