Note that should be when turning on the power!

I have a similar problem.  

It seems to me that when my PC boots from the recovery disk it is unable to
recognise the ethernet card I have and therefore can't effect a network
boot for the Qube.  I have tried three ethernet cards but with no success.

I'd be interested to see it this is a common problem.
