I have installed MailPower without a problem - it decides how to send your
list depending on the size.  Easy to set up and has a great back office GUI,
whereby you can send out newsletters in rich, graphical html and it also
provides reports on any errors and does not allow bad email or double email
to be added to list.  I am not affiliated with the company and, in fact, I
rather dislike the programmer who originally designed it, but the program
has merit.  Go to:

I should mention that the program takes 31 CGI/Perl scripts to run it - I
guess the programmer didn't believe in using libraries.
