Hi,

It certainly could be propogation/caching issues,
and likely with your upstream DNS service, wherever/whatever that may be,
especially since some work, some don't.
go to http://www.tracert.com
and use their multiple traceroute interface.
Select from several regions of the world,
but naturally, get a cross section of the U.S.
Include the one at FermiLab at Batavia, Ill.
as it does use rootserver DNS reference from gov. sources.

For a double check of your authority,
go to http://www.samspade.org
( off ln.net in SoCal)
and use the tools there.

Allow roughly 12 hours between each attempt, and recheck your DNS setup work.
Generally, if there was no Domain Record change, this should clear at nearly
all sources within 24-48 hours.
This is not unusual.
