Re: [cobalt-developers] installing Oracle 8 on the Raq3

The new kernel for Oracle will be unnecessary once the
Raq-3 update 3 is available (Real_Soon_Now (tm)). The
Oracle shared memory parameter tweaks are part of our
2.2.14C2 kernel, and all subsequent kernels.

In the interim, there is an Oracle capable kernel on
    Cobalt's experimental ftp site:

    RPMS:
    ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/experimental/kernel-2.2.14C3-1.i386.rpm
    ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/experimental/kernel-headers-2.2.14C3-1.i386.rpm
    ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/experimental/kernel-source-2.2.14C3-1.i386.rpm

    SRPM:
    ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/experimental/SRPMS/kernel-2.2.14C3-1.src.rpm

The usual warnings apply about the word "experimental",
but the kernel has gone through most of a Q/A cycle.
