Agreed. A very good point. Backing up a RaQ remotely from the gui is
close enough to impossible to constitute misadvertising.

And will probably always be a couple of years ahead, at least how I
measure time <smile>.

Oh come now, if the car companies did that, we'd never have had even a
57 Chevy; they'd still be busy fixing the 54s <smile>.

The RaQ3 gui is a lot nicer than the 2s in many respects, but since it's
a processor change you can't simply load the software like you could
from the RaQ to the 2. Still, though, and in spite of all the (email)
problems with the 3, I'm glad Cobalt moved on.

Should they make 3-style software for the MIPS platform? I'm sure
they've done the market research. Let's face it guys, you don't upgrade
a TV set (not even the ones that cost more than RaQs). It's an
appliance.

Presuming they get it right. I think it's way to complex to get right.
Why do you think other companies will get it any "right-er" than Cobalt?

Very good idea. I already ahve all the RaQ3 patches on my local hard
disk, but when I go to install them on another client's system, I have
to re-download them, just in case they've been changed.
