[cobalt-developers] doing DNS by manually

How would I go about doing the DNS entries by hand, while still maintaining
the GUI availability.  Right now, if I do the DNS entries manually, if I go
to the GUI, it overwrites everything and doesn't include the ones I add
manually.  I know I'm not adding everywhere I should be adding.

I know to add to:

/etc/named.conf
/etc/named/[individal.entries.com]

What else do I have to add to for the cobalt GUI to interact properly with
manually entered DNS data?  I'd like to be able to do both: use the GUI, or
enter manually.
