[cobalt-developers] RaQ3 - Active Monitor - DNS checks

Hi All,

does anybody knows how the Active Monitor on the the RaQ3 is
performing the checks on the DNS subsystem? 

After making my own changes to the DNS it says the DNS service
is down, although it's working (from my point of view). What I did
was moving the name of the root machine to an IP in the realm
of the virtual sites (giving it a separate IP) - as a preparation to
renaming the server.

I would like to look into the check-logic and patch it to my needs
(garatee gone anyway long ago) or adjust my DNS-configuration
to the needs of the checks.
