hi. I'm trying to rcp from one of our servers to another, but all I get is
"Connection Refused". On the Cobalt website it says to set up an .rlogin
file. That seems sort of strange since rcp gains access through a .rhosts
file instead, but OK.. I tried both - neither worked.
Thay also listed a plethora of rpms that we needed to install, which I also
thought was interesting since r-commands are provided with every linux dist
I ever saw before, but again, OK..
Now, the fact that rcp SEEMS to be working - in that it goes off and THINKS
about the connection then after about 30 seconds says:
(remote host) Connection refused
It seems to me if the rpm was missing I'd get another error like (file or
component not found.. etc).. So does that imply that I dont need to go of
hunting down and installing these rpms?
And can anyone suggest what I should look at that is preventing this from
working?
HUG!
PG
