I have a RAQ2 and have done all of my developing for my web
site on it. I now want to go live. I have registered my company name
and have the following configurations.
I have a cable internet provider, which has given me a
dedicated IP address. I have put that IP address, along with the subnet
mask and gateway router they have given me into my RAQ. They have given me
a host name of CRxxxxx-A on their domain name of shprd1.on.wave.home.com.
I have my registered domain name forwarded to my IP address.
My question is, how do I set up my parameters so that I can
see my site on the internet.
I currently have my RAQ set as host name: CRxxxxx-A with
a domain name of shprd1.on.wave.home.com so that my LCD panel shows
CRxxxxx-A.shprd1.on.wave.home.com
I set up a virtual site, using domain name WWW and host name
as my company name ie abc.com, but I can't see my site on the internet. Do
I need to set up the DNS feature, as I don't have this registered?
