[cobalt-developers] database server recommendations

We're in the process of adding a second server ... right now we have a raq2.
the raq2 will continue to run www, mail and dns. This new server will run
mysql. that's it.

the important considerations here are:
- reliability, reliability, reliability. the components must be good. no
flaky power supplies or other nonsense.
- speed ... i'll get 512 MB of RAM ... and a fast drive. is 7200rpm good?

i want to get a nice 1u rack-mountable box. i don't want/need a raq for this
because (a) GUI is of no use and (b) cost.

can anyone recommened any servers? 

second, i want this box to be accessible *only* via the raq. i want to give
it an IP of 192.168.0.1 or whatever. my raq2 supports two NICs/IPs. can i
make the second IP on the raq 192.168.0.2 and so on, so it won't be exposed
to the rest of the world?
