[cobalt-developers] Dinner...

"A dinner was served for three...
at Dracula's house by the sea.
The Wolfman was there, the monster was there...
the only normal person there was me."

Actually, there were only two of us. Jeff Lovell of Cobalt and I had
dinner at the Pantry (steakhouse) in Los Angeles Thursday night.

(And I apologize, Jeff.. you seem quite normal to me <smile>.)

I think we enjoyed each other's company. We had a good conversation,
and I come away from it even more committed to using and supporting
Cobalt servers.

I walked Internet World 2000 specifically looking for the so-called
"Cobalt-killers", but couldn't find anything I'd so-classify. If you
found something there, please let me know.

I don't see anyone else really ready to compete in this area. And even
when they are, I think Cobalt's got a good headstart on understanding a
gui, and debugging it.

Mind you, I'm NOT ignoring the Cobalt gui's deficiencies; I still can't
use it in some areas, and I'm still frustrated by it in others.

But I look forward to improvements, and I remain committed to Cobalt
products.
