[cobalt-users] remove spamassassin spamd

OK, I get the message. I have ordered more RAM and am upgrading to 512. Wil
reinstall the other services (MailScanner & Spamassassin) when it is
installed.
Thanks,
Declan.

Hello,

128 MB is not sufficient, you should upgrade to 512 MB.
Removing mailscanner and spamassain is not a solution
as it may cause more problems rather than solving
your current .. MyDoom is outhere!!.

I take it that you are running under /etc/cron.daily

1. Logrotate.
2. Logcheck (Portsentry) emailing logs
3. Webalizer ..
4. Mailscanner crons
...etc

what you need to do is to change the times and run
each job on a different time and by that prevening
the 1-2 Minutes load peaks that takes place at
0400 am.

You will need to remove (MOVE) the cron.daily
and execute your logrotate and other cron Jobs
using your custom crons or /etc/crontab

see the details here but do not remove anything
just mv (move them to some other name) just
in case:
