I have a Cobalt RaQ 4i, with ~300 users using pop-before-smtp, and
that works well. Recently, I have had my first user who needs to use
imap. Imap works fine for retrieving email messages. Unfortunately,
the ip address of the sender never makes it into /etc/mail/popip.db ,
so the imap user can never send mail out.
When the user imap's his mail, it makes an entry into
/var/log/maillog, similar to the pop3 daemon.
From looking at the documentation, it look like imap-before-smtp
should work, but I'm not certain why poprelayd is not adding imap
users to the popip.db file.
Is there something that needs to be done to enable this feature?

I use IMAP on my RaQ and it seems to work fine using this "fix"...
