I need to restore a backup file made with the GUIs scheduler. I have the
file for an individual site and trying to use the (useless) GUI to restore
it. No errors, looks like it is running fine, but I never get any message
saying it is done and nothing is restored. I tried selective and complete
restore.
Is there anyway to make this useless backup system actually be able to
restore a file. What a poor excuse for the word backup ,they shouldn't have
wasted the screen real estate to put the words on it. Command line method
maybe. All I need to restore is /home/sites/site7/users/compshe2 - I need
to get the backup of their webmail files. It doesn't matter if I restore
the entire site as it isn't really used anymore, but I only need one users
files.
Wouldn't surprise me if Explorer is timing out on the page during the
restore, although I don't get any message as such - the reason I used the
scheduled backup is that if you just tell it to backup a site, Explorer
times out before the backup is done thinking the page won't load, but the
scheduled backup always appeared to complete. Now if only restore would work.
Boy am I glad that I am migrating from the P.O.S.
Thanks for any help on this,
Jale
