[cobalt-users] help with a Web problem?

An idea on this is to set up subdomains. You would not have to purchase
another domain,
And each subdomain would have its on site on the raq, fully manageable
by each department w/o anyone being able to mess up each other's sites.

E.g.
dept1.nomealaska.org as a site on the raq
dept2.nomealaska.org as another site.

You would enter these into the DNS server for nomealsaka.org and have
them point to the one ip you are using. These would then just be virtual
sites on the same ip.

If you want the same look and feel on these sites, simple copy over the
site template.

Aha! This sounds about right! Whew, glad I asked. Thanks.. I have
something to search on now but should be pretty easy.
Ewww, just thought about all those links I'm going to have to change on
the webpage...

Can you not use a re-direct on the departmental pages to send visitors to the new subdomains?

Or maybe you could use a rewrite rule in the httpd configuration file.

Cheers
