Currently I have an A record mail.domain.com pointing to the IP
MX record pointing to mail.domain.com
When I go to add a CNAME record, it asks for:
Alias Host Name
Alias Domain Name
Target Host Name
Target Domain Name
I can't enter in an IP.
Why would I need to have a CNAME record that has the alias mail.domain.com
pointing to the target mail.domain.com or domain.com?
Also when I run sendmail -bv testing@xxxxxxxxxx
testing@xxxxxxxxxxxxx deliverable: mailer local, user testing
There isn't a user testing on the whole box.
I tried restarting sendmail with no help.
