[cobalt-users] Related to /var/log/maillig

Hi

     We are running cobalt raq4r - MTA is sendmail. 
     Last few days i am noticing that the /var/log/maillog is being stopped.
     I am starting though with *etc/rc.d/init.d/syslog start*. But after 2/3
     days again it is being stopped.

     i could not find out the problem why it is behaving like this..
     Moreover i am watching that the mails whcih are coming to the users
     to this server, there is no trace of the <from> address in the /maillog/.
     Only showing <To> address. But mail box is showing ok, i mean it is 
     showing the <sender's name> correctly..

     One more thing i am watching - that is, procmail is  not working...
     I set the *spamassassin* execution under /etc/procmailrc, but
     no trace i am getting in the /var/log/maillog for spamassassin. 
     *Spamd* daemon is ruuning. But
     i am not getting any log for spamd/spamc in the /var/log/maillog also
     i am not getting any trace in the maillog that from where the mail
     is coming...

     So can any body give me some hints where can i check? Moreover how
     can i set the /var/log/maillog in the verbose mode...
