[cobalt-users] Outgoing Sendmail: Error

I just happened to check the status of mailscanner and got an error on
outgoing sendmail. When I stopped and started mailscanner I started getting
a lot of old messages and I noticed in the mail log that other users on my
system are getting some old, very old, messages. Some of the delays show
30+. I thought mailscanner restarted it'self to avoid things like this. I
guess I misunderstood. What exactly does the outgoing error mean and why has
the server seemed to be sending and receiving mail fine up until now?
