I've heard of drives as big as 250 Mb being used successfully on NetBSD's port-cobalt for mips. It should recognize the size. Its a pretty smart kernel.

Performance is visibly better than Linux 2.0 too. if you are using a Qube, though, powering a second drive can sometimes be problematic, because the power supplies aren't that beefy. Some are better than others. Best to have a single, large drive.
