Evening !!
Got a spare 4g seagate tape drive here and thinking about trying to connect it to the rear of my 4i (running 550 os).
Anyone know if the connector is a "Half pitch 68 pin 'D'plug", or a "0.8mm pitch 68 pin Centronics plug" - apparently both are scsi connectors around the scsi3/widescsi generation. I'm thinking along the lines of the first one, but cant be sure <sob>.
The other thing is what's the likelihood of it working? Anyone else out there tried it and what results?
Finally, I've been looking at some kind of back-up s/w that will allow me to effectively "mirror" the hdd at best, or allow me to restore from a basic restore to current state - something else so I can just do a restore, or similar. Since it's a server for personal use (not a hosting centre or anything!), whats about out there that either very cheap, or preferably free in pkg format?
Thanks again chaps
Paul
