Greetings List:

After a 4 year hiatus, I just bought another RAQ... a 4i this time. I tried searching the archives but didn't find my answer so forgive me if this is come up before (i just joined the list this past week).

I have several domains on my raq configured now and it looks like it's running fine with the exception of sending out mail. It looks like the mail servers are trying to resolve my 192.168.1.1 gateway instead of the static IP address I have assigned to all the virtual domains. My static is 207.30.5.70 and the server is 192.168.1.15 with all the domains sharing this same IP. Here is the error I get:

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'chris@xxxxxxxx'. Subject 'Re: test', Account: 'kids-eat-free.com', Server: 'kids-eat-free.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.7.1 <chris@xxxxxxxx>... Relaying denied. IP name lookup failed [192.168.1.1]', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

1st of all, i think you have a problem with the set up of your router/gateway/firewall
what exactly do you have?
do you have any web sites set up on the server?
you can not get to any web site via your ip address
to me, it looks like you have a firewall without any kind of port forwarding or dmz
that effects inbound
it also looks like you have the dns of your server set up wrong
you either need to have a dns server or more likely, you need to put the dns of you isp in the network settings of you raq, it acts like you have your gateway ip address setup in the dns location

It appears the basic setup of the server is not correct, check you network settings
you also need to check the settings of your router/firewall
