Simple (and short) answer

RAQ4 only one network port
RAQ4i Two network ports, only one hard disk
RAQ4r Two network ports and two hard disks (raid 0,1)

Also true for RAQ3 systems.

Check how much memory you have

cat /proc/meminfo

You might want to add more if you want to create a RAQ4r, IIRC min 128mb,
256mb or above better, max supported (in cobalts tests anyway!) 512mb.

Also check your ROM version

cmos -c romrev

I know 2.3.28 supports twin 40 gb drives (not sure if earlier ones do) later
ones certainly do.

Post your results back and someone with a very high IQ (like Gerald) will
tell you what you can do without upgrading your ROM version.

Take a look at Raqbackup.sh

http://www.neuhaus-internet.de/cobalt/raqbackup/

You can backup all your users etc using the cobalt CMU and port them to a
RAQ4(i/r)OS.
